Neither can be used in the following ways: neither 有以下用法
as a way of showing how a sentence or clause is related to what has already been said: 用来表示一个句子或从句与之前所说的话之间的关系: I can't play tennis, but neither can you. 我不会打网球,不过你也不会。
as a conjunction with nor (connecting two words or phrases): 与nor 连用作连词(连接两个词或短语): Neither Simon nor Sally can swim. 西蒙和萨莉都不会游泳。 He was neither as slim nor as healthy as I was. 他既不如我苗条也不如我健康。
as a determiner (followed by a singular noun): 用作限定词(后接单数名词): Neither woman seemed sure of what to say. 两个女人看起来都不知道该说些什么。

When neither is the subject of a sentence, it is usually used with a singular verb: 当neither 是句子主语时,通常用单数动词: Neither of the books was published in this country. 这两本书都没在这个国家出版过。 But in spoken English a plural verb is sometimes used: 但是在英语口语中,有时也用复数动词: Neither of us are planning to go. 我们俩都不打算去。
