In spoken and informal English not is often shortened to n't on the end of auxiliary verbs (‘be’ , ‘do’ , and ‘have’ ) and modal verbs. For example, was not is shortened to wasn't. 在口语和非正式英语中，not 常常在助动词（be, do 和have） 和情态动词后缩略为n’t。例如， was not 缩写为wasn’t。
