Every is generally used before a singular countable noun. The only exceptions are at Sense 2, where every can be used in phrases like ‘every three hours', and at Sense 3. 一般用在单数可数名词前。唯一的例外为其义项2和义项3。在义项2中, every 可以用在像every three hours (每3个小时)这样的短语中。
