Than can be used in the following ways: than有以下用法
as a conjunction (connecting two clauses or phrases): 用作连词（连接两个分句或短语） We shouldn't spend more than we earn. 我们的支出不应该超过收入。
as a preposition (followed by a noun): 用作介词（后接名词） I'm taller than my dad. (followed by a number): 我比我爸爸高。（followed by a number 后接数字） A crowd of more than 10,000 had gathered. 已经聚集了1万多人。 Object pronouns are normally used after than: than 后常接代词的宾格 He was three years older than me. 他比我大3岁。 Some people think that it is more correct to use subject pronouns after than, but this sounds very formal and old-fashioned: 有些人认为than后面用代词的主格形式更正确，但这样会显得非常正式且古板 No one could have worked harder than she. 没有人比她干活儿更卖力。
Than is used especially after a comparative adjective or adverb. than尤用于形容词或副词比较级之后。
