Notice the spelling of the conjunction whether, and don't confuse it with the noun weather, which sounds exactly the same.

Usage note: whether
Both whether and if can be used to introduce indirect questions of the type that expect a ‘yes/no' answer: whether 和if都可用于引导用yes/no回答的间接疑问句: She asked if/whether I liked jazz.她问我是否喜欢爵士乐。
Use whether, but not if, before an infinitive: 在不定式前只用whether，不用if: She can't decide whether to marry him.她无法决定是否与他结婚。
Use whether, but not if, after a preposition: 在介词后面只用whether，不用if: There are doubts about whether the system is safe.系统是否安全还存有疑问。
Use whether, but not if, immediately before ‘or not': 后面紧接or not时只用whether ，不用if: The question is whether or not the government has the right to interfere.问题是政府是否有权干预。
Whether is generally preferred when ‘or' appears later in the sentence, but you can also use if: 当or 出现在句子后面时，whether 更常用，但也可以用if: It is not clear whether/if the information was stolen or deliberately leaked to the press.这条信息是被人窃取还是有人故意透露给新闻界的，目前还不清楚。
